I have been engaged for 16 days. 

The most wonderful 16 days at that!

I said YES to the dress! 

The dress screams me, it is gorgeous!

The date has NOT been set. 

We are thinking March, or May, or June.

We are going for the rustic look. 

Mason jars. Burlap. Lace. Simple.

This is what I am going for. I love it! 

Just another burlap idea. Not sure how appropriate the pumpkin would be in the summer time. 

This is about all we have right now. I have my dream dress and my vision. 

Just Keep Swimming

Hello 2012!! I am only 17 days into this year and it has been wonderful. I started my official teaching gig this January and lets just say I have been busy! Some days the only thing that gets me by is Dory. Do you know her? If you don't I suggest you meet her. Dory is from Finding Nemo. She is a silly fish trying to find Nemo. Her famous words are "just keep swimming swimming swimming." Most days, this is my motto.

I have mentioned before that  2012 would be the year of engagements. My dear friend Emily got engaged on New Years Eve to Brent. They are perfect for each other. Emily and I are great friends and old roomies from our days in Starkville. I couldn't be happier for her and Brent. Oh and I know what you are thinking...I am not a bridesmaid in this wedding! Emily and I talked about it a long time ago and she decided I would be her proxy bride during the rehearsal. I am honored to be standing in the place where she will marry her best friend.
