Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Miles

This is my first post as a married woman. I know promised all of you that I would be a better blogger once summer hit and I promise I have a lot to say, but right now we are staying with the grandparents until we close on our house, which is FRIDAY!! I am beyond excited for this. I love this cozy little house. And it has a POOL!! I can't wait to get it pretty and catching some rays!! I am very anxious to show y'all wedding pictures but they aren't quite ready yet. I am going to leave y'all with these two pictures.

My Grandmomma, me, & my mother at my bridal luncheon hosted my maid of honor and her mother.

The bridal party, minus ally, at our rehearsal/cookout.

I can't wait to show y'all more!!

Wedding Wednesday: the last one

One, I've been a terrible blogger these past few weeks and I am so sorry for that. I plan to make up for it this summer. Two, It's wedding week ya'll!!!! Not just wedding week, but wedding Wednesday!!! In just 4 days I will be marrying the love of my life! I can't wait!! I woke up this morning at 4:30 ready to get my day started. Which is a good thing because there is little thing called work that still calls my name until May 23. Here are a few pictures, they are screen shots from my phone because in all this excitement, I forgot my disk. I will blame it on "wedding brain."

My fabulous friend, Whitney, agreed to do our pictures for the wedding. She is awesome. I think she should take up a second career! Maybe one day she will listen to me.

I can't believe 8 months ago A asked me to be his wife. It's been a sillycrazywonderfulstressful 8 months. I would not change it for the world though.

This wedding process is something I never thought I would do. I would hope I would get married one day but I never thought I would have a wedding. I was the eloping type of girl. But A talked me out of it. I'm glad he did. I'll leave you with my favorite picture!

the final countdown!

Well ya’ll it is officially wedding month!!!! Exactly nine months ago, I just got engaged! Such a rush of emotions come over me when I think about that awesome day! I have been so so so busy at work I haven’t even started to get the last minute jitters yet. (but we still have 16 days…)

Things have been different for me lately. I can’t really put my finger on exact reason, but I think it’s because of the season of change taking place in my life. I know the Lord delivers big, but I have a feeling this one is going to be the biggest one in my life. I mean, it is marriage! It will not be “my” life anymore. It will be OUR life.

Not only have I been busy at work and planning a wedding I’ve also moved back to my grandmomma’s. Adrian & I are buying a house and will be closing on it at the end of May if not sooner. Just a big whirl wind of change and I am right in the middle of it. I can’t wait!

Almost Mrs. Miles :)

Trying to catch up!

Hey everyone! I can't beleive its been since April 2nd since I have blogged. April 2nd seems like forever ago but then again it seems like it was yesterday..this month is FLYING by!!! April is a busy busy busy month for my job and I just can't seem to sit down longer than two minutes to blog. So, here I am, on a Sunday morning blogging before church. My life is in complete fast forward mode.

It's IEP month. That means there are some stressed out school teachers right about now. We are in meetings after meetings and the countless paperwork carries on. This is my second year to do IEPs so I am just a little stressed out than the year before. Last year, I cried just about everyday. I was at school until 11:30 at night and on the weekends. I think this is where my grey hair is came from. This year has been different. I am writing a different type of IEP which has been kind of stressful and the state department likes to change everything I have already learned. Other than that, I have all the support I need. The one thing that is making all the difference is starting early and being organized. Organization is something that I struggle with but I feel like I am making progress.

Last weekend, I had my two bridal showers. All I can say is WOW. Adrian and I are so loved. I have been apart of many many weddings. But, when it's your own, there is something a little different. Like I said we are loved from many many people and we couldn't be blessed with better family or friends who support us so much.

April 19, 2013---- WE are exactly one month away from our big day. I can't say I am stressed out yet because I have been so busy with work. I am going to try my best not to spaz out before the wedding. I am in constant prayer for peace during this wedding time and I know the Lord has me taken care of.

Speaking of the Lord, my walk with Him is getting stronger. I have set aside my time with him everyday. It's just me and him. I've started the 40 day challenge and it is taking me to new places. You should defiantly try it!

Here are some pictures from my second shower. My phone was MIA for the first shower. Imagine that.

Autism: my letter to you

Today is World Autism Awareness today. If you want to know more autism, you can get your learn on  here.

Dear Autism,

If you didn’t know, today is World Autism Awareness day. Not that you really care, but this day is all about YOU. Yes, you Autism, you have a WHOLE day for the world to recognize who you are. I think it will take much more than twenty-four hours to tell the world about you.

I see you on good days, bad days, sick days, and just about every day. You are every where I go. I notice puzzle pieces on a daily basis. I am always thinking of another way for you to understand me.

You’ve broadened my mind and completely opened my heart. You make me slow down and look at everything in many different ways. Oh Autism, you have taught me more than I could ever teach you. My days wouldn’t be the same without you.

You are very mysterious. A lot of people have many different theories on how you came about and why are you becoming more and more common. I have my thoughts but honestly, does that matter? I wouldn't trade you for the world.

Forever grateful,

Scotti

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

I'm seeing green!! If you don't know anything about me, know that I LOVE the color green. Green just makes me happy. I've seen a million post on Facebook, instagram, and twitter of friends at St. Patty's day parades! I will go to one next year! I would really love to Mcguire's in Pensacola. That is our favorite place to go to when we make it to the beach. Oh the beach..I would love to be there right now!

Wedding Wednesday: Productive

This week is spring break! This week is spring break! If any teacher needed spring break, it would this teacher. I beyond thankful for this break. This week has given me lots of time do things I normally justtotiredtodo can’t do during the week. I have gotten 2 bags full of clothes to give to Goodwill. Now I just got to get those bags to Goodwill.

On Monday, my cousins, Linda Sue, Kylee and Amber, from Arkansas, rolled across the river to come visit me. Did I mention that they came to talk FLOWERS?? Linny used to be in the floral business and she’s real good. She called me and said she would be honored to do my flowers. Of course, I visited my "goin' to the chapel"  board on pintrest to show her my ideas. Originally, I wanted peonies in my bouquet but then I saw a picture and I knew it was what I wanted!

A. decided that he wanted to wear a khaki colored pants and vest. (another pinterest inspiration, but no one has to know that) We had THE. HARDEST. TIME. finding khaki vest in our area. A few stores had them online but not all the sized we needed. It was frustrating and this HAD to be done. If we got anything done for the wedding this week I determined this would be it. We went every where...JC Penny, Dillard's, Men's Warehouse. Now let me say that these places had vest but they were either 80 bucks or not the right size. Then A. remembered a local place in Senatobia and rode down there and they had the perfect khaki suit! We made the decision that vest weren't as important so the guys will be wearing a khaki suit and jacket, I am praying it won't be TOO hot.

How perfect is this?? Thank you pinterest!!

They say cousins are your first friends and these girls and I go way back. I am so glad they will be apart of our day.

Cake stand has been ordered!

Ahhh, spending a little QT with the "beyonce".

Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he shall give you the desires of your heart. ---Psalms 37: 3-4
