I have a better chance of being president!

The lottery is up to 640 million dollars! So Ashley & I did what any normal person would do...we went to the bank got some cash and bought some 20 bucks worth of lottery tickets!! The line was crazy long and we had quite the adventure of trying to figure out how to fill out the darn things. You would think two well educated young women could figure out how to fill out a 1 dollar lottery ticket, that wasn't the case. We eventually got it figured out then waited in line. Tonight at 10 is the big reveal..if you don't hear from me for awhile, its more than likely they do not have internet on the island I bought!

Lets catch up...
  • Only 8 weeks of school left, thats 40 days, well 38 if you count Easter break.
  • My faith is growing every day. It's not something I know, it's something I feel.
  • First car note is due in May, I am dreading it.
  • A and I saw The Hunger Games tonight. I think the book was much better.
  • I am still peeling from spring break
  • April will be a very busy month.
  • Here is what is on my calendar for April: Bunco, IEP meetings, Special Olympics, TMI workshop in Jackson, prom, a surprise party..these last 3 are all on the same day!! IEP meetings, CPI training, IEP meetings, 2 wedding showers for the great Em Wilson, IEP meetings, and Em's bachelorette party..finally we come to of the month...if I do not post a blog it is probably because I am having a nervous break down.
  • After April means one thing...MAY..another busy but less stressful month. May is a  month for weddings, SUMMER VACATION and of course the LAKE!!! Woooo!!!
  • Of course to close out this post I left you some of my favorite pictures of my baby girl! Her name is Pancho Patti Baker and she is a "panchie dog" aka a Boston Terrier. She will be 5 this summer. She is beyond spoiled especially by my mother and A! :)

Who says I am too old for spring break?

SPRING BREAK!! WOOO-HOOO!! Who doesn't love a good paid week off work? I know many adults do not get a spring break anymore but I do and it makes me want to do a happy dance!! This year "A" and I made the trip to Pensacola Beach,FL. The weather was absolutely perfect! We actually stayed in Milton, with some dear family friends of mine. They were great host, like always. We went to the beach and got BURNT. Of course leave it to me to just rub sunblock on myself in random places..needless to say you will get a good laugh if you saw my knees and arms. Poor A., he got the sunburn award of the trip. In his defense, he did put some sunblock on, just not enough. After our day in the sun we went to eat at Peg Leg Pete's, it was pretty much on the beach. There A. tried raw oysters (excuse me while I gag) for the very first time. He loved them. I think they taste like big slimy booger, ok well I've never tasted a booger but thats what it LOOKS like it would taste like. We finally make it home and we are worn slap out, it seems like sun just drains you! The next day venture off by ourselves. That sweet date included exploring the shops, trying an electric lemonade (yummy!), and walking on the board walk in the bay. We left the beach and headed for dinner. We ate at one my favorite places there, McGuires Irish Pub. This is such a neat place to eat! Who doesn't love an Irish pub with over a million dollars stapled to the ceiling, a burger that cost a 100 bucks and drink dubbed "The Irish Wake"?? I stapled a buck to the ceiling and took a sip of the Irish Wake. I decided to leave the 100 dollar burger to someone with deeper pockets. I did try a "pizza burger", EXCELLENT! We called it an early night and headed back to Milton. We left the next day to head home. We stopped in Hattiesburg at Academy Sports. It's like a Sports Authority and Sportsman's Warehouse had a baby and Academy Sports was the finished product. A. was in heaven! We also stopped at the Collins Zoo on highway 49. Nothing to stop for, the only cool animal she had was turkey and the snake room. We finally made it home and I knew that the break was coming to and end. I washed all my clothes and cleaned the house. I was getting anxious to go back work. It was weird, I was actually missing my students! When I got back to work, it was all business. It's almost IEP season, grades are due, getting kids back on track..this list could go on and on..

I still can't believe we are 3 months into 2012. Life is flying by me. There is only 9 weeks (45 days) left in the school year. That is something I can't believe!  All I can say is April will be a very busy month for me. I am ready for it! Bring it on life!

1. A trying raw oysters for the 1st time. YUCK!
2. The Gulf, a little piece of heaven at my feet.
3. A and I at Jimmy Buffet's Maragritaville...I want to live there.
